The grand festival “Under Sail For 1000 Years” is over for this year. At a small ceremony at Odense harbour it was time to say “thank you”, “good bye” and “au revoir”. The project leader of the festival, Steffen Møller, used the opportunity to thank the participants for their effort.

“I would like to thank the Navy for having an open mind and for their great effort with school classes, handicapped and other visitors,” said Steffen Møller. As a token of appreciation, every  participating Navy ship received a copy of the book “Ships and destinies in the renaissance” that Steffen Møller has edited.

Also Odense harbour, the sponsors of the festival, exhibitors and the employees of “Under Sail For 1000 Years” where thanked. Harbour director Carsten Aa returned the gratitude on behalf of Odense harbour whereas the newly commissioned Commander Danish Task Force, Commodore Palle Cortes thanked Steffen Møller for giving the Navy this opportunity to present itself to the public.
