There is a mood of break-up at Odense harbour. The last Navy ships which have participated in the festival “Under Sail For 1000 Years” let go the moorings go and start making their way through Odense canal. Ahead lies one and a half week of exercise in the Great Belt, Kattegat and Skagerrak.

After several days at harbourm where the sailors have worked as ambassadors for the Navy, the period ahead will bring challenges of a completely different character. In exercise DANEX 06 the participants will train operations in a conflict area.

While the warships leave Odense harbour and the Navy puts on its working clothes, it is time to say good bye thank you for this time around.
