The exercise is being conducted in the Great Belt Area, the Kattegat and the Skagerrak, waters off the coast of Denmark. DANEX 06 will provide SNMG1 with an excellent training opportunity, conducting some of the missions that could be tasked should SNMG1 be activated as part of the NATO Response Force (NRF). Types of missions include non-combatant evacuations, embargo operations and disaster relief operations.
