DANEX 06:
The grey LYNX helicopter is flying low over groups of people which franticly wave their arms and cry for help. Many are wounded. Everywhere there are collapsed buildings and several places thick, black smoke is rising into the sky. The helicopter crew, that is sent out to get an overview of the situation, can see that help is badly needed.

It is a natural disaster of immense porportions that has hit North Vendia. The hurricane Hercules has caused so much damage that the local authorities cannot handle the situation. A cry for help to the international community has been heard and a naval force from Farawayland has been tasked to assist.

Luckily the province North Vendia, Farawayland and the hurricane Hercules are not real but a part of DANEX 06. The disaster exercise – a so called Disaster Relief Operation (DRO) – will run all day at Jerup Strand north of Frederikshavn and at the Navy Damage School at Hvims.
