Nordic Military Shooting Championship NMSC2009

Indholdsområde

NMSC 2009

XLI Nordic Military Shooting Championship. Camp Borris, Denmark 14th - 18th June 2009.

Welcome to the training Area Borris.

Commander of the Danish Artillery Regiment, Colonel B. Mejlholm.

As Commander of the Danish Artillery Regiment and the Army Fire Support School at Varde Barracks, I hereby have the pleasure to welcome you to Nordic Military Shooting Championship 2009.
The exercise area and shooting ranges at Varde Barracks do not have the capacity to carry out such a big arrangement as Nordic Championship Shooting. Because of that the championship has been moved to Borris training area.

Borris training area was established in 1903. The area is 47,2 km2. The area is used for live firing with artillery, mortars and all kinds of hand weapons.
During the period the use of the training area has increased. The training area is now used around 300 days each year.
The nature is unique. The training area is one of the biggest moors in Denmark.

It is my hope that you will have a good and fair championship. I also hope that there will be room for social activities between the countries.

Once again I would like to welcome you to Nordic Military Championship Shooting 2009.

B. Mejlholm
Colonel
