Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisations (DALO) Plan for Transformation.
The DALO Plan for Transformation comprises the construction of all elements of DALO, including DALO Staff, Danish Defence Maintenance Agency (DAMA) and Danish Defence Supply Agency (DASA). The plan consists of a general plan which describes the main tasks in milestones, and three underlying plans for DALO Staff, DAMA and DASA.
DALO uses MS PROJECT as planning tool in order to work out the plan.
There is a common structure for each of the underlying plans, which means that they describe focus areas, i.e. foundation for steering and management, personnel, DeMars, registration framework, domicile, etc. As a supplement there is a specific section in which activities that are only carried out in connection with DALO Staff, DAMA or DASA can be described. The main aim of using MS PROJECT is to create a general view of the activities and their mutual dependence, use of resources, progress, etc.
As a supplement to MS PROJECT DALO uses the so called “activity identification sheets” (ACIS). An ACIS contains a description and elaboration of the activities described in the DALO Plan for Transformation with underlying plans.
An ACIS is the only formal document in connection with working the activities. Thereby it has been ensured that there is only one place where documentation is placed. In connection with an ACIS it will be possible to make links to other related documents. Furthermore connected resources, dependencies, detailed plans for personnel etc. will be stated in an ACIS.
It is a leading principle that an ACIS contains all relevant, updated information, which will be used to make a general view of the progress in the transformation process. An ACIS is in other words a dynamic document, which is reflecting the planned transformation.
