For two weeks ships, aircraft and helicopters from the Netherlands, Poland, Great Britain, Germany and Denmark have been active during DANEX 08. The exercise has primarily been conducted in Kattegat but also in Skagerrak north of Skagen. Captain (n) Per F. Hansen who together with the 2nd Danish Squadron staff has been leading DANEX 08 is satisfied with how the exercise has worked.

– Is has been a very good exercise. Not the least seen in the light of the fact that we this year have done many new things. We have had many aircraft and helicopters in the air almost all the time and we have had the Danish Frogman Corps in the game in a new and more prominent role. All in all I am very happy with the result, Per F. Hansen notes and continues:

– I most of DANEX 08 the ships have been divided into two groups which have been training away from each other with different types of activities. They have then underway switched place and thereby exercise activities which has given a good exploitation of those aircraft and submarines which have been training with the ships. It has been two hard weeks but I am convinced that it has been worth the effort, the Captain ends.
