Units from several NATO and partner countries specializing in detecting and combating drones helped to create security around the meetings during the EU summit in Copenhagen.
The international contributions are an expression of the strong international cooperation that Denmark is part of in both the EU and NATO, and a demonstration of the NATO countries' ability to quickly adapt and deploy.
"The international contributions did not just help to ensure that the EU summit could be held in a secure manner. They are also very clear and visible proof that Denmark has friends and allies, and that we allies are ready to stand together," says Danish Chief of Defence, General Michael W. Hyldgaard.
