The Royal Danish Navy

The Royal Danish Navy consists of the Navy Command which includes a National Maritime Operations Centre and three naval squadrons located primarily at two naval bases in Frederikshavn and Korsør.

Current deployments

Internationally the Danish Navy deploys worldwide when called for. The Navy has contributed to operations against piracy in both East and West Africa, the removal of chemical weapons from Syria and Libya, naval operations to ensure the free movement of shipping and entered into American and French aircraft carrier groups.

 

Currently the Danish Navy is leading Standing NATO Maritime Group 1.
