This week, the Danish Defence hosted a large international planning conference for upcoming activities in the Arctic and North Atlantic region. Approximately 100 participants from 17 Allied nations, as well as several US and NATO commands, took part in the conference.
The planning supports activities under the Danish-led Exercise Arctic Endurance, a part of NATO’s Arctic Sentry.

The overall purpose is to increase military cooperation among NATO Allies in the Arctic and North Atlantic and thereby strengthen NATO’s interoperability and situational awareness in the region. This is achieved particularly through combined joint training and knowledge-sharing concerning the unique and often challenging conditions that apply to operating in the Arctic.
