The United Kingdom and Denmark are ready to help the United States when the cargo ship ARC Endurance arrives in the port of Esbjerg early Wednesday morning.

The ship is loaded with several hundred armored vehicles and equipment to be unloaded and transported to Poland by truck. The ARC Endurance is the largest ship that has ever called at the port of Esbjerg. And when such a large ship arrives with military equipment, it requires quick and agile cooperation between NATO countries.

British soldiers handle the cargo. And as host nation, Denmark solves a wide range of tasks - both military and civilian. Everything from coordination between the three NATO countries and the Danish authorities to practical tasks such as accommodation of the British soldiers and guarding the port. The latter is solved by soldiers from the Danish Home Guard.

The US Army 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team from the 4th Infantry Division (3-4 ABCT) based in Colorado is responsible for transporting the equipment to Europe. Here they will take part in a long-planned exercise activity in the Polish exercise area Drawsko Pomorskie.

The large number of armored vehicles transported across Denmark in the near future include Abrams main battle tanks, Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, and Paladins self-propelled howitzers.
